We were commissioned to produce a series of films by brand agency SMRS - the end result being a brand new careers website rich in colourful content for High Street Insurance brand Swinton.
Our first challenge was to create CGI neon light streaks that would be drawn by each person in the film and then to match them to actual neon shapes that would be held proudly by Swinton people. We filmed in a studio set designed especially to let the natural light falloff of the neons illuminate the foreground to great effect. We then shot the introductory shots emulating the light movement and shade created when neon light would pass by the faces when being drawn. By achieving this in-camera, we could then add on the CGI neon lines to make the end result far more authentic.
We also spent a few days filming on location in Swinton branches, contact centres and at the head office in Manchester to paint a full picture of a very vibrant company.
This film is one of four main films each featuring a different set of Swinton people for the different areas of the business - contact centres, support services and the retail network. We also created a neon set wihere we interviewed twenty Swinton people for individual profile edits.
On the Swinton Careers site, you can see all of these films spread throughout - augmenting the bright photography and design and the site copy perfectly.
We love the moving image. In fact, we have a passion for it. Big or small screen and wherever your viewers watch, it is an irresistible opportunity to fill a space with colourful pictures and words, to make a statement and say something.
We have the knowledge and expertise to produce film, video, motion graphics and animation for all mediums: broadcast or non-broadcast television, events or commercial film. Whether it is internal or external communication, we can help you say what you need to say in a memorable way.
There is no point in making a program that nobody wants to watch. We want to make things interesting. Very interesting. We are Thunder and Lightning. The electrifying film company.
