Ask Italian - Join The Team

Creating a series of videos within one production is something Thunder and Lightning Films has grown
very skilled at. We took the existing employer brand created by SMRS and came up with a great way of working with the team within a two day shoot on location at Ask Italian in Chelmsford. What better way to show how to eat Italian than by getting everyone around a big table and letting the conversation flow.

The experience of eating Italian is at the heart of everything within Ask Italian – the food, the sharing, the sense of family. We shot two different levels of content with our team of people who had gathered from both office and restaurants throughout the country. To create a primary ‘Meet The Team’ film that would sit on the recruitment website homepage we set up a series of beautifully staged single interviews in and around a working restaurant. Then we brought everyone together for a much more off-the-cuff set of voxpops in and around a big meal to create a set of very playful social media films. Each film covered a different subject – everything from how to use Italian hand gestures to what their dream dessert looked like.

We can work with an existing campaign to create film content that sits at the heart of the entire comms strategy. In this case we have used our filmmaking experience to open out the brief and gather the content needed for multiple pieces of communication across all platforms.
